Both Compost FBX and Green Star of Interior Alaska have missions and passions which share three common objectives: Reduce waste, Reuse what can be reused, and Recycle everything else. Waste reduction week was conceived with the goal of raising awareness of our individual missions and getting the community involved in waste reduction.

Since the opening of Reuse IT, Greenstar’s used electronics store specializing in reconditioned computers, Green Star has become an affordable option for local nonprofit organizations that need to update technology.
Greenstar extends drop-off hours and adds new collection carts to make recycling in Fairbanks easier than ever! You can now drop off recyclables Tue-Fri 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Sat. from 9-5.
