Green Star received $40,000 in November 2022 to will help with our ongoing programs and allow us to expand efforts to reduce waste and increase recycling in our community! Here are some of the items we were able to purchase with this donation:
● Our first snowblower to clear our outside storage yard
● A flammable liquids cabinet
● An event tent for outreach and tabling
● A half of pallet of shrink wrap, used in daily operations
● Forklift chains for effectively navigating outside storage
● A large heavy duty rolling cart for event recycling collection
● A tabletop laser printer and toner
● An AED and CPR/AED training for 10 staff
● A mercury spill kit
● High visibility vests for our CRF and event recycling staff with our logo
● All of the necessary items for opening and running our Used Electronics storefront: Reuse IT including:
○ A square terminal and accessories
○ A PC testing bench for diagnostics
○ An air compressor, vacuum and other items for a homemade cleaning box for our Used Electronics
○ Tools for refurbishing and cleaning Electronics
○ Signage and Facebook marketing for the store
○ Storage containers and shelving for store
○ SSDs for refurbishment of laptops for store sales
