Come help us out any Saturday afternoon! Green Star needs your help with processing the recyclables collected by the Borough at the Central Recycling Facility. Volunteers help us with some of these tasks:
Sorting cardboard for baling
Sorting mixed paper and office paper
Helping residents drop off and sort their recycling materials on the drop off lanes
Please sign up to volunteer in advance using the form below. You are welcome to volunteer for the full 1pm to 5pm shift, or for just part of it, we are happy to accommodate your schedule. Training is provided on-site. Please park to the left of the recycling drop off lanes in the big gravel parking lot.
Volunteers must be aged 14 or older.
Volunteers under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult (unless the volunteer is cleared by a Green Star staff member to be allowed to work without being accompanied).
All new volunteers will be asked to sign a waiver and release of liability. You may either download the waiver and bring it with you, or you can fill it out when you arrive at the warehouse.
Volunteers under age 18 must have their volunteer waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.
