Can you lend a hand at the Central Recycling Facility?

Spring is upon us – that means winter is coming! It also means that “prime time” is approaching. Spring and summer are historically the busiest time at the CRF. As the operators of the CRF for the FNSB, we want to insure we are positioned to accept more recyclable materials than ever – and we are on track to do it thanks to you!

With that said, we have a bit of a backlog we would love your help clearing up. Specifically two pallets of paperback books which we accepted to prevent them being buried in the landfill. Before the books can be processed in the FNSB balers they need to be ripped into 1/4″ thick sections. If you can help us ripping the books it will insure that our staff can keep up with the processing of recyclables coming through the CRF.

Other volunteer opportunities also available

If you want to lend a hand, but not at the CRF we have a lot of other events, educational, outreach and electronics disassembly volunteer opportunities available also! Use the form to tell us how you would like to help – we are happy to add you in any way possible.

Volunteer signup is easy, but please read carefully!
