Used Oil Recovery Program

The FNSB Used Oil Recovery Program began October 24, 2002, and became the primary heat source for the main Solid Waste Facility Building and the Recycling/Household Hazardous Waste Facility in December 2007. Approximately $130,000 is saved each year by eliminating used oil disposal costs and significantly reducing the need to purchase heating fuel. Source: FNSB Solid Waste Facility
