Batteries
Identification: Household Batteries include common household batteries of all types, including alkaline, carbon-zinc, lithium, mercury, silver oxide, rechargeable and more.
Preparation: Place batteries in a non-conductive storage container (e.g. non-metal). Sort by type of possible. Batteries that are corroded or leaking should be separated out and placed in a sealed plastic bag to prevent contamination.
Items not accepted: Damaged lithium ion batteries may be considered too dangerous to handle and may not be accepted; please contact your recycler for additional information.
