Green Star is now settled into our new warehouse and resuming our normal daily electronics recycling and reuse operations, as well as our event recycling and outreach work.
Items for recycling should still be taken to the FNSB Central Recycling Facility (CRF) located at 1855 Marika Road, which is off Aurora Drive. The borough provides this centralized location for borough residents to take all their recyclables, including electronics. Electronics recycling items are then delivered to Green Star for processing.
Green Star’s new warehouse at which we recycle about 100 tons of electronics from the Fairbanks North Star Borough and surrounding Interior Alaskan villages is now located at 2134 Texaco Ave, which is just off Peger and Van Horn, behind Frontier Glass.
If you would like to help us sort and disassemble electronics waste items for recycling or test and repair items for reuse, come by our warehouse on Saturdays from noon to 4pm to volunteer!
Green Star also sells used electronics as a fundraiser! Our new warehouse includes a storefront area in which we have used electronics available for purchase. We are typically available for sales of used electronics from Tuesday through Friday, 10am to 4pm — but please give us a call or email before stopping by if you can as our hours do vary.
