Green Star of Interior Alaska Offers Affordable Technology Options for Local Nonprofits
Since the opening of Reuse IT, Greenstar’s used electronics store specializing in reconditioned computers, Green Star has become an affordable option for local nonprofit organizations that need to update technology.
Our first large quantity order came in just as the store was opening from the nonprofit organization, Nenana Ice Classic. Their computers were from the 1990’s and are used each year to record the guesses of the time and date of breakup on the Nenana River. Our team of two technicians rebuilt 14 machines, including monitors, keyboards and mice for a very reasonable price.
Another nonprofit, JP Jones Center, requested three machines for use by their clients who often have no other access to computers. By selling refurbished computers to local organizations and businesses, GSIA can help local nonprofits address their IT needs with affordable solutions while keeping e-waste from filling our landfill.
