Plastics: #1 & #2

Identification: Rinsed #1 (PET) bottles including beverage bottles, salad dressing bottles, etc.   Rinsed #2 (HDPE) jugs with necks and screw tops including milk and detergent jugs. Acceptable plastics will have these symbols:

Preparation: Rinse the container thoroughly and discard the cap. Bottles containing food residue may not be recycled.

Items not accepted: Bottle caps, other numbered plastics, items with food residue, produce and take-out containers, cups, tubs, oil/chemical containers, plastic bags.

Events Recycling

Over the course of the ten day Tanana Valley State Fair, Green Star of Interior Alaska recovered 3,159 pounds of aluminum cans, plastic bottles, and cardboard through our Events Recycling program.
