This year the Earth Day Fair and Makers Market on will kick off Waste Reduction/Earth Week. This year we will be at Ryan Middle School’s gym from 12-4pm. Join over 20 organizations, makers and businesses to celebrate and connect with community over waste reduction in Fairbanks North Star Borough. There will be activities, crafts, Bee Line Espresso and door prizes!
There are also workshops that different community members are putting on. Bring an item to mend to learn to mend with Cloudberry Mends! Or come learn about how to make “Earth-Friendly” content with radio station programmers from KWRK. Staff from Fairbanks Soil and Water Conservation District will teach a workshop on Composting for Beginners and Alaska Permaculture will demonstrate Lasagna Gardening.
